The evening will begin with an intimate wine tasting led by a professional sommelier, followed by a live presentation from the world’s greatest living explorer and best-selling author Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE, as he discusses the biggest challenges he has overcome and the importance of making big moves in order to achieve extraordinary goals.

Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE

Sir Ranulph Fiennes is, according to The Guinness Book of Records, The World’s Greatest Living Explorer. He is the first person ever to have climbed Mount Everest and crossed both Antarctica and the Arctic Ocean via the Poles. From his time in the SAS, raising over £18.9 million for different UK charities to authoring over 25 books, Sir Ranulph truly lives his life according to his family motto of ‘Look for a brave spirit’. The adventures he has led and the stories that go with them can teach us all the importance of making big moves in order to achieve extraordinary things.

Hilary has over 25 years’ experience in successfully advising, supporting and achieving profitable growth for customers deploying ERP solutions. Whatever the industry – Financial Services, Retail, Professional Services or Manufacturing – embracing change is key. Hilary has been with Oracle for more than 20 years, working primarily in the UK & internationally in Germany & France. Previous roles include Directors within the Misys Group and Techland.


Nick Plummer
Head of Financial Services and Retail

Nick Plummer is the Head of Financial Services and Retail for ERPM UK & IE at Oracle. In this role, he has responsibility for Oracle’s application sales, marketing and customer services operations and execution in this important region. Nick is driving the company’s delivery of On Premise and Cloud based business solutions to corporate customers across the key Financial Services and Retail industries. Nick has more than 21 years of experience in the IT industry all of which has been in enterprise software with a focus on corporate operations. Prior to Oracle, Nick worked for consulting organisations such as PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Consulting and Capgemini working with customers to improve their performance management, business planning and efficiency.
