The IT Leaders’ Virtual Roundtable

An exclusive online discussion and wine-tasting for IT leaders of prominent firms in the United Kingdom

This virtual roundtable tackled how leading organisations centralise their workflows, automate remediation across operations, deploy real-time SaaS consoles, and more. Senior executives had the opportunity to share insights and experiences about these topics in an interactive discussion focused on the future of data management.

For this exclusive event, The Ortus Club is partnering with Wine Tasting Adventures. All guests received a bottle of their Classic Trio, which include N.V. Chardonnay Brut Burgundy, 2019 Passitivo Primitivo, IGT Puglia and 2019 Touraine Sauvignon, Loire.

Accessing data anytime, anywhere

IT infrastructure is enormously complex, with teams having to monitor thousands of machines and millions of processes. This often poses challenges for getting a complete view of a computer system, platform, and infrastructure health.

Today, IT leaders and administrators are expected to view and analyse entire company infrastructures, working all the way down to the process level. This is where scalable platforms are coming into use. What’s more, as a result of the past year and the growing number of remote digital workforces, actions such as real-time monitoring, drilling down to see detailed metrics and similar platform activities need to be accessible by employees regardless of their physical location. In this regard, custom automation and policy-defined access extend functionality, providing immediate ROI.

  • When it comes to monitoring, guiding, and standardising company systems and platforms, what challenges have IT leaders faced over the past year?
  • How can IT teams unify their operations in a single interface to better monitor the health status of their company infrastructure?
  • In terms of optimising IT operations for hybrid working, are cloud-based platforms the way forward? Why?

N.V. Chardonnay Brut, Burgundy – An excellent all-rounder, with a refreshing, lively flavour and much finesse. Pure, fresh Chardonnay fruit with bubbles.

2019 Passitivo Primitivo, IGT Puglia – A superb full-bodied wine which is made from the Primitivo grape variety which have been dried slightly using ” il giro del picciolo” technique where the stems of the grape bunches are twisted so that they no longer receive nourishment. They are left for about 12 days and in that time they loose 25-30% of their weight, which concentrates the juice and natural sweetness of the grapes.

2019 Touraine Sauvignon, Loire – Pale lemon coloured, the nose is full of grassy fruit, with nettles and gooseberry, but also with hints of passion fruit and guava. The palate is medium bodied with abundant fruit and a crisp, dry finish.
