What Just Happened? Digitalization in the Last Decade

The last decade has been a roller coaster for many IT decision-makers with the financial service community. So many ideas and trends have been thrown out on the table with the promise to disrupt an industry and change the game. Many of them have indeed had a profound impact, many have not.

We are bringing together senior IT peers from the financial service community in New York for drinks, dinner and a topical discussion on the last decade of digitisation, what just happened and what is still yet to happen. We will be exploring what really did just take place in the last decade from an IT standpoint and how that has actually affected the industry in concrete terms. Discussions will be independently moderated and will abide by the Chatham House Rule.

We will be discussing:

  • What popular ideas and trends didn’t live up to their hype and which ideas and trends did?
  • As well as looking back, we will also be looking forward to the next decade and asking, how we can prepare ourselves for the next decade of digitisation?
  • In 2030, who will be left standing and how can technology ensure that our businesses expand and don’t stagnate?
